The Anchorage Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, where I am a member, has the mindbogglingly unusual problem of having more children involved in Religious Exploration than physical space for holding RE classes. If even half of those children stay in the Anchorage area and remain connected to the fellowship, AUUF’s future will be bright. So how do we keep these children?
Right now, whenever we ask ourselves, what is the best thing going on at AUUF, the answer is unfailingly “Religious Exploration,” and we don’t mean Adult Religious Exploration. If we don’t start coming up with some “best things” that are geared to adults, will we retain AUUF’s children when they grow up?
